who doubts the truth will forever be lost.

The doubting soul is happy neither in this life or the next."

Quote of The day

I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long.
If we're in each other's dreams, we can play together all night.

Today I talked to a bunch of kiwis - by Ana Cissa Pinto

Today I talked to a bunch of kiwis.

No no, I am not talking about New Zealanders. I am talking about the actual fruit. I went into a store and saw a big pile of good-looking kiwis. I swear the kiwis lured me towards them, and I decided to pick one. I looked at the pile and I asked:

“Which one of you is the sweetest of all?”

And all the little kiwis directed me to this specific hairy chubby green kiwi in the middle of the pile. Now, here’s the thing, either I am losing my mind and talking to fruit or I am actually in tune with the universe. I say that because, rewinding a bit on my story, an hour or so before my kiwi encounter, I was taking a yoga class and had to stop my practice a few times due to severe muscle cramps on my legs. Just out of curiosity, once I got home and was ready to have my kiwi, I googled about kiwi’s properties.

To my surprise, the first phrase I read was: “Kiwis are one of the best things for the prevention of Hypokalemia.” Hypokalemia is a metabolic disorder that occurs when the level of potassium in the blood drops too low. Hypokalemia can cause, among other symptoms, severe muscle cramps.” All that said, I would like to acknowledge this little occurrence as a simple indication that our body will take the message if the channels are open. The reason I am telling you this story is so that if you ever feel inclined to communicate with fruits, or trees, or flowers, or bees, or any pure element of nature, don’t be afraid. You are, most likely, not going crazy. Just listen up; those guys might be trying to tell you something!

By the way, the kiwi I just had was the sweetest kiwi I have ever tasted!

In ancient times, considerable note was made of understanding the elements, for these were considered the building bricks of the Universe, and hence many believed that these were also part of the basic structure of themselves.

All the elements of nature are interwoven and united with each other.

About my favorite car, the Aston Martin DB6 Volante

The Aston Martin DB6 is a grand tourer made by British car manufacturer Aston Martin. Produced from September 1965 to January 1971, the DB6 has the longest production run to date of any Aston Martin model. The DB6 succeeded the popular Aston Martin DB5 and featured improved aerodynamics and specification over its predecessor.
Introduced at the 1965 London Motor Show, the DB6 was already a dated design, sharing a large resemblance to its predecessor, the DB5; with the most noticeable differences being its wheelbase, side profile, split front and rear bumpers and rear panels incorporating the Kammback tail rear end. The tail, combined with the relocated rear-axle and the 3.75-inch (95 mm) lengthened wheelbase, provided more stability at high speed. Performance was satisfactory: road-tests of the day observed top speed of the Vantage model between 145 mph to 148 mph, with intrepid and fearless John Bolster aboard a Vantage spec DB6 reaching a two-way average of 152 mph.
Other highlights include adopting front-door quarter windows, an oil-cooler air scoop low on the front valance, quarter-bumpers at each corner, revised tail-lamp clusters; additionally the spoiler with the luggage capacity affected overall proportions of the DB6, to an increased length approximately two inches.
A convertible body style was also offered, as per Aston tradition, called the DB6 Volante, this was first introduced at the 1966 London Motor Show. The DB6 Volante preceeded the earlier (1965–1966) Volantes which were built on the last of the DB5 chassis' and were known as "short chassis" Volantes. Of the later DB6 Volantes just 140 were built, including 29 high-output Vantage Volante versions, highly prized by collectors.

Quote of The Day

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.
~ Khalil Gibran

Ah, the ol'drink'n'text....

Spanking new column, about tips on

Today's Tip:

Ah, the ol'drink'n'text....

Did you drink and text?
And she never got back in touch with you after that?
Well perhaps you should check your phone
and see what you wrote to her.
Drinking and texting can be rather hazardous.
Ok so, do you think that what you wrote could be interpreted as
something RUDE?
Yes? about an APOLOGY? And by that, I mean, make a regretful acknowledgment of your idiotic mistake, and do tell her that this will never happen again.
You should try and make a formal defense or justification in speech or writing...along with some flowers...why not. She might forgive you, depending on the degree of the damage caused by your drunken behavior. Good luck!

"The Best Is Yet To Come"

Some songs are sweet, some are melancholic, some are beautiful, some are sad.. some are healing and some can be disturbing...some are relaxing and some are energizing..some just put a big smile on your face and make your heart sing along..

I find this particular song ABSOLUTELY JUICY - the lyrics drip with deliciousness.
Enjoy it!

"The Best Is Yet To Come"

Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum
You came along and everything started to hum
Still its a real good bet, the best is yet to come

The best is yet to come, and baby wont it be fine
You think you've seen the sun, but you aint seen it shine

Wait till the warm-up's underway
Wait till our lips have met
Wait till you see that sunshine day
You aint seen nothin yet

The best is yet to come, and baby wont it be fine
The best is yet to come, come the day your mine

The best is yet to come
Come the day your mine
Oh come the day your mine
I'm gonna teach you to fly
We've only tasted the wine
We're gonna drain that cup dry

Wait till your charms are right, for the arms to surround
You think you've flown before, but you aint left the ground

Wait till you're locked in my embrace
Wait till I hold you near
Wait till you see that sunshine place
There ain't nothin like it here

The best is yet to come, and baby wont it be fine
The best is yet to come, come the day your mine
Come the day your mine
I've got plans for you baby
And baby you're gonna fly

a dream come true: A TIRAMISU BAR!

My favorite dessert now in a superstore!

Introducing Dolce Vizio, a West Village sweetshop shrine that holds within its walls enough espresso-soaked ladyfingers to feed a small army, opening Saturday.

Make no mistake: what you’re dealing with here is quite literally the most concentrated collection of tiramisu available anywhere outside of Milan. You see, all this sliver of a storefront does is bake, beat and fill little clear bowls with alternating layers of soft biscuits, mascarpone cheese and sifted cocoa powder. The recipes: straight from the Old Country.
The flavors: Nutella, limoncello, orange espresso or anything else they might have lying around the kitchen.

Now that you have direct access to the mother lode of made-daily tiramisu, it’s important that you exercise some measure of restraint. Ideally, you’ll want to limit reps at this red, white and wood Italian café to those precious mid-date interludes that require something with a little more panache than frozen yogurt. A caffeinated curveball to bridge the gap from dinner to drinks.

And if you can’t find a suitable flavor option on the menu to meet your exceedingly high tiramisu standards, you can always commission a proprietary batch of the stuff to be built from scratch.
